Phone Basics

To place a call using Contacts Match Abbreviated Dialing:

1. Enter the last four or five digits of a Contact entry’s

phone number.

The contact number matching the entered digits

displays at the bottom of the screen.

2. Highlight the contact and press . (If there is

more than one matched number in your Contacts,

highlight a name and then press to place a

call.)

3. Press to call the displayed number.

To place a call using Prepend Abbreviated Dialing:

1. Enter the last four to six digits of a Contact entry’s

phone number.

The contact number matching the entered digits

displays at the bottom of the screen.

2. Highlight the contact and press . (If there is

more than one matched number in your Contacts,

highlight a name and then press to place a

call.)

Dialing From the Contacts List

1. Press > Contacts.

2. Highlight the entry you want to call and press

to dial the entry’s default phone number.

To dial another number from the entry, highlight

the name and press , and then highlight a

number and press .

Speed Dialing

You can store up to 98 numbers in your phone’s speed

dial memory. Dial speed dial entries using one

keypress for locations 2–9 or two key presses for

locations 10–99.

To use One-Touch Dialing for speed dial locations 2–9:

䊳 Press and hold the appropriate key for

approximately two seconds. The display confirms

that you have dialed the number when it shows

“connecting...”.

Tip: You can also view the contact details or enter a pause by

pressing

OPTIONS (right softkey) and the appropriate

choice after step 1 above.

Shortcut: From standby mode, press Contacts (right softkey)

to list entries.
