MPEG4 format that is found on many DVD, hard disc drive, and

ﬂ ash memory camcorders. While the standard-deﬁ nition DVD

camcorders oﬀ er friendly recording with easy playback in home

DVD players, the AVCHD high-deﬁ nition DVD disc recordings

require a “Blu-ray” high-deﬁ nition DVD player or a computer DVD

drive with appropriate software for playback. You can enjoy your

AVCHD high-deﬁ nition DVD camcorder recordings when your

camcorder is connected directly to your high-deﬁ nition monitor.

The AVCHD DVD format is a high-deﬁ nition format. AVCHD DVD

camcorders do not record “Blu-ray” or “HD-DVD.”
